ABOUT ELISA

As a young girl, she read everything from Nancy Drew mysteries to Lois Duncan suspense novels to classics like Jane Eyre and Gone with the Wind. She was inspired to become an author at age nine when she had the opportunity to meet Lois Duncan in person at a summer program in New Mexico. Ever since, she’s been constructing stories that both thrill and terrify her readers.

Her favorite plots are ones that throw garden-variety humans into dicey situations and then turn up the heat to high flame. One of her first stories was about a summer camping trip gone awry when a rabid bear the size of the family station wagon meanders into camp. Later she wrote about a retired high school science teacher who keeps himself busy experimenting on his ex-students.

Elisa is a member of the American Night Writers Association. She lives in Arizona with her husband and three children. Since graduating with a degree in English Literature from Arizona State University, she has worked as a substitute teacher, magazine copywriter, indexer, and piano teacher.

She is the author of countless short stories and thirteen novels.
